Scrubber Systems

A scrubber system is used to filter the waste chlorine gas stream produced during the chlorination process and remove the chlorine in the exhaust fumes prior to discharging it to the environment.
The scrubber system mainly comprises:

Scrubber Tower

A cylindrical body where the exhaust gas stream is channelled in and the scrubbing of chlorine gas is carried out. The treated exhaust air free of chlorine is then discharged to the environment. These scrubber towers are manufactured using FRP materials by our subcontractors while we provide them with the moulds and raw materials needed for the manufacturing works.

Centrifugal Fan

A centrifugal backward curved fan that is used to draw out the chlorine fumes produced during the chlorination system into the scrubber tower. It is designed and manufactured in-house mainly using FRP materials.

Chimney

A chimney is used to release the treated exhaust stream from the scrubber tower to the environment at elevated height. These chimneys are manufactured using FRP materials by our subcontractors while we provide them with the moulds and raw materials needed for the manufacturing works.

Circulation Pump

Circulation pumps are used to circulate neutralising solution through the scrubber via spraying nozzles. The neutralising solution will then react with the chlorine fumes in the scrubber and remove the chlorine fumes in the exhaust stream, allowing it to be safely discharged into the environment. The circulation pumps are sourced from third party suppliers.

Ducting

Ducting is used to channel the chlorine fumes produced during the chlorination system from the chlorine dipping tanks to the scrubber tower. These ducting are manufactured using FRP materials by our subcontractors while we provide them with the moulds and raw materials needed for the manufacturing works.
